Training session in Rwanda, Nyamata June 11-15,2018

As a result of a training of trainers conducted in November 2017 by the RCE-VIHSCM, the trained trainers in each partner’s states in collaboration with their Ministry of Health were able to identify key challenges in supply chain management of vaccines and medicines that can be addressed through short-term training.

This resulted in EAC countries training plans for 2018.

In Rwanda, trainings have started and the focus is on immunization supply chain management targeting districts EPI supervisors and pharmacist. The second batch of these trainings took place in Nyamata from the 11th to the 15th of June 2018 whereby 23 EPI supervisors from 23 districts hospitals were trained.
