Director’s message

Welcome to the EAC Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization, and Health Supply Chain Management (EAC RCE-VIHSCM).  It is my privilege to extend a warm greeting to all those who are passionate about improving global health through effective vaccine distribution, health supply chain management, pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance and pooled procurement.

At EAC RCE-VIHSCM, our mission is to contribute to solving of existing performance challenges of the Health Supply Chain Management (HSCM) system in the EAC region through the generation of knowledge and its translation into practice, policy and research.

The “News and Events” section of this website serves as a vital platform for keeping you up to date with the latest advancements, breakthroughs, and critical developments pursued by EAC RCE-VIHSCM. You will find news articles, press releases, and updates on research, policy changes, and other emerging trends within our space.  The events provide valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and learning from industry experts and thought leaders.

To the EAC partners states, Development Partners (such as the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and through the German Development Bank (KfW), UNICEF SD, GAVI, WHO, Gates Foundation, IFPW and other partners), we extend our appreciation for your invaluable support in addressing pressing health and sustainability challenges. Your passion and on-ground efforts make a significant difference in creating a healthier and more sustainable future for EAC RCE-VIHSCM. EAC RCE-VIHSCM can move fast alone, but can only move far with you. Together, we can address the complex challenges faced by the regional and global health community and work towards creating a more resilient and equitable world.
