Thomas Bizimana studied Pharmacy from 2001 to 2006 and graduated in 2007 awarded a bachelor’s degree of pharmacy from the “Université Nationale du Rwanda (UNR)”. He started teaching at the “Université Nationale du Rwanda” in 2008 as a tutorial assistant, in the department of Pharmacy. Since 2008, he taught the courses of Supply chain management for health commodities, Drug analysis, Health Technologies Assessment and Rational medicines use at the NUR and UR. In 2009, he started his master’s studies in pharmaceutical sciences, Quality assurance/ Quality control at the National University of Rwanda (NUR). In 2011, he went in Dar-Es-Salam, Tanzania, for a six-months research at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), working on a project entitled “HPTLC method development and validation for simultaneous determination of Tenofovir and Lamivudine in pharmaceutical formulations” as his master’s thesis. He started his PhD studies at the University of Rwanda (UR) in 2017. In 2018, he went in Germany, at Tübingen University, and passed 12 months working on his PhD research project, in the department of Pharmaceutical Biology. Thomas Bizimana graduated in 2022 and was awarded a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Rwanda. He is now Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences and works as Deputy Research Coordinator at the EAC RCE-VIHSCM.
